What is salsa music?
Salsa is a type of Caribbean music that comes with a rich Afro-Cuban history. The rhythm is largely based on the son clave rhythm, an instrument composed of two pieces wood.
‘Salsa music’ is an umbrella term to describe a medley of dances and music.
Often, when you go out ‘salsa dancing’ you may also end up dancing and listening to merengue, bachata, the cha cha cha, rumba, cumbia, and reggaeton.
What kind of salsa dancing do you teach?

We understand how intimidating salsa can be for new learners. You do NOT need to know how to dance before class.
These classes will teach you how to lead and follow.
Students learn shines, leg work, arm work, body movement, spins, body isolations, shoulder shimmies, and body rolls. (You'll learn what these terms mean in class!)
